On September 23, Loyverse released an API and App Marketplace that allow merchants to connect third-party apps to their Loyverse account.

Many grocery stores use label printing scales. Shoppers can weigh an item away from the POS and print a specialized label. These labels are often called "weight embedded", because the weighted value is embedded in the barcode.
The Loyverse POS app, starting from version 2.33 for iOS, supports scanning barcodes with the item SKU and its weight. When scanning such a barcode, the item is automatically added to the receipt with the indicated weight. The system allows the use of weighted barcode
Many merchants give their clients loyalty cards with barcodes. You can now use such cards to identify your customers by scanning barcodes from their loyalty cards.
The Loyverse POS app, starting from version 2.18 for Android and version 2.32 for iOS, supports scanning customer codes. This function appears when adding a customer to the ticket. The cashier can add the customer to the receipt by scanning the barcode from his/her loyalty card with a barcode scanner or device camera.

Sometimes, Loyverse users face a situation when they need to change an email, password, timezone, and Back Office language. From now, owners and employees with access right to the Back office have a section in the Back office with its account settings where they can manage all those settings.

The possibility of reprinting the kitchen orders has also been added. This would be useful when your kitchen printer had not printed the order for some reason (for example, when it ran out of paper). If you open the saved ticket and tap ‘Reprint order’ button from the three dots menu.

Now, you can access the list of receipts of registered customers on the POS. This is useful when you want to find a receipt from a specific customer or check the previous purchases of the customer.
To see the purchase history of the customer when making sales, just tap the button “view purchases” on the registered customer profile.

During the sale, the system displays information about each item (with variant) that is added to the ticket.

In the ‘Taxes’ section of the ‘Settings’ menu, you can add new taxes and change existing ones.

Sometimes Loyverse users face a situation where a receipt is made by mistake. For instance, the receipt has the wrong payment type. Until now, the only way to fix the mistake was to make a refund of the receipt and then make a new receipt with the correct data. In this case, the sale data from the wrong receipt was still taken into account for some report parameters, which caused inconvenience.

The new feature has been released on Loyverse POS app for Android in version 2.14. Android smartphone users now have the option to choose the layout of the home sales screen; either grid or list. This feature allows you to find a desired product or discount with more ease to add to the receipt.

Loyverse starts customization for users from Germany. From now on (starting from Loyverse POS app for Android version 2.14 and for iOS version 2.24), the Loyverse accounts with the country of registration Germany have slightly different views of receipts and shift reports.
