  1. Could you give us a brief introduction to your business? The name of the business is El Rincón del Cítrico. It is located in Chile, in the capital city, Santiago de Chile, in a district called La Cisterna. We run a business focused on importing avocados. We sell both retail and wholesale, and our main focus is fruit and vegetables, especially the import of avocados from Peru. How long have you been operating this business? We have been in business for five years, but the strong growth we experienced after some of our videos went viral happened about a year ago. The business started growing thanks to social media. We began posting promotions, and at one point, one of our videos went viral, and that is when orders started to increase significantly. At first, we operated with closed doors, then we opened a small store. Because of the number of customers, we renovated the place, but it was not enough. We moved to a larger location and opened a new branch. On TikTok, we have 75,000 followers, and the total number of followers across Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram reaches around 225,000. Our success is largely due to our popularity with customers on social media. When did you implement Loyverse in your business? Loyverse has been installed since January 2025. I have been managing it for ten months, and the system was already implemented when I arrived. The owner easily explained how it worked. Did you face any challenges before implementing Loyverse in your system? If you ask me, I think that without Loyverse, we would not be able to operate. We would have a very large administrative disorder. With Loyverse, we manage product entry, quantities, and product types, and it offers a very useful option to add items by weight or by unit. It is also a very versatile program that can be used from any Android device. From my computer, as the administrator, I also have the ability to supervise the sales of each POS within the business. Our business has several employees serving customers, so we manage sales inventory, purchases, and our staff thanks to Loyverse. We have a tablet where employees log in when they arrive by entering their password, and when they leave, they also register their clock-out. In that way, it has also digitized the human resources part of the business. How was the adaptation for you when you arrived? To be honest, when I arrived, we were only using about 10% of the program. We were only recording sales and adding prices. When we added a person responsible for inventory, who works a fixed shift in the company, she began feeding the system: adding incoming products, recording quantities, updating prices, adding new products, and removing products that we no longer had. We also organized products by purchase category, and that helped us bring order to the business in just one month with one person doing that work. Did you find the system challenging to implement, or was it easy? The program is very user-friendly. With a bit of previous experience in administration or inventory management, it is possible to feed the program and take full advantage of it. I am trying to use it as much as possible across all processes. I feel that no features are missing. I think it is very complete and also very stable. Is there any function that you use most frequently? Employee management is used every day when employees arrive. We work every day here; the business never closes. I also provide reports to my manager based on the information Loyverse provides. In the past, when a product was missing, we would walk around the store to check what was missing. Now we open Loyverse, and since everything that is sold is recorded, we know exactly how much remains. This helps detect discrepancies or losses, because if something was not sold but inventory numbers are different, it means a product was lost or something happened along the way. All of that is managed through Loyverse. What changes have you noticed in the business since you started using the system? Absolute control. If you properly feed the system, it is software that is not as complex as an ERP, SAP, or WMS. It is much more user-friendly and accessible for the average user. We manage a business that generates around $300,000 Chilean pesos in monthly revenue. We serve around 13,000 to 14,000 customers per month. I know all those numbers thanks to Loyverse. Doing this with an Excel spreadsheet would be very inefficient. What is your favorite Loyverse tool? As an administrator, definitely the back office. I spend hours in the back office analyzing data: payment methods, the number of customers who arrive, the average ticket, profit margins, losses, recorded in Loyverse, the amount of money coming in, and the types of payment. We use three types of payment: cash, bank transfer, and online payment. It is very useful to separate that information to understand where the money is. All decisions and everything that happens in the company are based on Loyverse. It is also very stable. Would you recommend this software to similar businesses? Yes, I would recommend it because you can maintain control from anywhere in your business. If you hire employees, you can know how much money the business has earned, the types of sales that were made, and everything from your phone. That is the best part. What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who are just starting or managing everything in Excel? The main advice is that thanks to Loyverse, we were able to maintain control over inventory, purchases, and sales. It is a very simple tool. It can work from any mobile phone or Android device. Even if someone does not have the budget to buy a POS machine, they can use a printer connected to a phone and start issuing receipts. At the end of the day, you can access the back office and analyze the business: where you sold, how much you sold, the payment types, and view the business in a more quantitative way.
  2. Deffer is an electronics store based in Chile. The owner of this business, Mr. Sepulveda, is an ambitious entrepreneur who has a passion for electronics devices and aims to develop his business further by opening several branches nationwide. He has been using Loyverse since he opened his physical store and shared his experience with us in the below interview. -When did you start your business? What services or products do you offer? I have a business of electronic devices. My business started about 1 year ago. The products sold are related to the protection of Smartphones or technological devices (screen glass, phone cases, earphones, keyboards, etc.). I currently have 4 employees. I chose this type of business because I have been working in this sector for almost 3 years now, but only one year ago I decided to open my physical store. I decided to be a business owner because of the independence it gives to a person. -How do you advertise your business to attract your customers? The store is located in a busy place and related to the business area. This has been very helpful for the business. It is nearly impossible to not notice our store when you pass by. I also use social media and we are already making the necessary advertisement for the online store we are planning to open. -How does your company compare with the competition in the market? We work with specific products, unlike our competition. We import the product directly from China. We work focused on products, instead, our competition focuses on electronic device repair services. -What are your objectives for the next 5 years? My goal for the next 5 years is to open at least 5 branches related to the same business, in addition to working with my online store which is also my focus at the moment. I also plan to open another type of business within 2 years. -How did you find Loyverse? Was it a recommendation or did you find it yourself searching the web? I found Loyverse via the web looking for an app for inventory and management. Loyverse was the first POS that appeared in the results, so I decided to give it a try. - How has your business or the workflow in your business changed since you started using Loyverse? Loyverse has helped me to manage information in a simpler way with data, whether in merchandise, profits, products that are sold the most, etc. - What do you think is the most interesting feature or product of Loyverse and why? Adaptability with smartphones and connectivity from anywhere with internet access, because it makes easier for me to carry the information with me wherever I go. For example if I go shopping and forget to order a product, I can easily verify it from my smartphone. I am using Employee Management and Advanced Inventory add-ons. I think these add-ons make the app very complete and help me manage the stock of my items efficiently. -What do you want to see in Loyverse in the future? The points that I would like to comment on are related to my use of Loyverse, so this may not relate to other customers. I use SumUp to accept card payments from my customers. I would like to be able to do partial refunds when the receipt has been done via SumUp and not only a full refund. I am using the Advanced Inventory features. What I would like to see in the future in this section is: - the losses that are recorded in Stock Adjustment to affect my profit - have the possibility to add new reasons for a Stock Adjustment in addition to the four reasons that are there by default. -At the moment, my business is small and therefore, the information we have about the business is sensitive or confidential regarding employees, so what I would like to suggest is when an employee has to make a purchase order, he should not enter the costs of each product. -What message would you like to give to the Loyverse team? I am happy with the Loyverse. Keep it up with the good work and keep developing the app further.

  4. Donde la Kathy is an online business that sells beauty, cosmetics, and personal care products. The business started at the peak of the pandemic. The business consists of the sale of various brands via catalog. Some of these brands are Natura, Yist, Viogrin, Leonisa etc. Due to the good marketing skills the owner of this business demonstrated during the first year of operating, today there are a lot of other brands that reach out to her to sell their products. What was your motivation for becoming an entrepreneur? I live in Chile. In December 2019, there were protests here, various manifestations happened. This caused issues to my previous company and it couldn’t operate every day. Afterward, due to the pandemic, the company couldn't operate at all and this forced me to close that business. Since I was unemployed and it wasn’t the best period to start looking for a new job, I decided to start this business which would generate me income and help copy with the fixed expenses that I had. I am working alone. I do all the processes, from receiving the product from the suppliers and sending them to the customers. If there are days I am very busy or I cannot go out because of the quarantine, then I would hire someone to deliver the products to the customers. How do you advertise your products and services? I am using Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. I am preparing a website, but it is not functional yet. The most useful tool for me until now has been WhatsApp where I publish the products and promotions. I have earned many clients in this way and then they order again. I must say that I live in a neighborhood that offers a lot of opportunities to sell your products. I started first to sell to my friends and close neighbors and then I could expand in a wider area. How do you stand out from other competitors in the market? There are other people that do the same business as me and even sell the same brands, but what I do to differentiate is maintain stock. I invest a lot in products so that I can deliver a product to my customers as soon as they order the products. My competitors usually work based on orders, meaning that when the customer orders a product, then they order the product from the brand, wait for it to arrive and finally deliver it to the customers. This process takes some time. I always keep stock so that I can deliver to my customers. This fact makes me stand out from the competition. What is your business goal for the next 5 years? My idea is to create a website that will facilitate the advertisement of the products and the orders, so I don’t have to do this manually on WhatsApp. I have some brands that are multilevel too. My idea is to increase the number of brands I collaborate with and keep expanding. How many hours a week did you work when you started the business? I can't say a fixed number. I worked from Monday to Sunday, from 9 AM until later in the evening. Whenever a friend or customer needed a product for themselves or as a gift, I was always ready to deliver the products. There have been occasions when I have been delivering items until 11 PM. It is actually a very prolonged schedule I don’t have a fixed schedule like 9-5, but whenever the customer asks for the product, I must send it to them, or they will come and pick it up in my home. What is a characteristic of your personality that you consider the most important to have success in this business? I am an easy-going person, sympathetic and this has made me have a lot of friends who also share the word with their friends. I get on well with people, they remember my name. Now, it isn’t so necessary to publish the product because my loyal customers will ask by themselves if I have a certain product or not. Or my loyal customers advertise my business to their friends. This has helped me a lot: to have good relationships with people and be memorable. How did you learn first about Loyverse? I started using Loyverse in 2020. I had more and more products, and it was becoming really tiring for me to make all the calculations of stock manually in excel. I also forgot to add something, which caused miscalculations and errors that I couldn’t traceback. I found Loyverse online and started to test how it worked, and it solved a thousand problems because it is super simple and efficient. I could easily track the stock of my items, enter sales, manage the customer base, see how many items I had left in stock and I loved all these features. I tested other point of sale systems as well, but all of them became very complicated. What feature of Loyverse is the most useful for your business? I like the inventory management and I also pay for the Advanced Inventory add-on. I like the option to add customers and have a Loyalty program for them. In addition, I like very much that I can manage my customer base, have their information saved and check their purchase history at any moment. Another feature that I like is the option to create a product and if it comes in different sizes or colors, I can add variants to have the items organized. In my opinion, the system is very complete. I like the Back Office, the visualization of the sales in the reports. What message do you want to give to the Loyverse team? I want to thank you first for the support. Each time I have contacted the support team, they have been very friendly and explained in detail the answers to my questions. The help is always very rapid, it is very easy to follow the instructions that you give. I am very happy with the service.
