A Simple yet Complete for My Japanese Restaurant

I started this business a year ago with a small budget of less than $200. Before I had the courage to start my own business, I was an employee in many different restaurants, in particular one Japanese restaurant. Through such experiences I gained the necessary understanding in order to manage a restaurant and thus I decided to make my own business.

I started my business with deliveries since I didn’t have a place to set up a shop and gradually I built up enough capital to rent a place.

Could you describe to us a bit about your local community?

I began my business in a suburban area of East Jakarta (Citra Indah City, Jonggol), Indonesia. The area had many local food businesses, but there was no Japanese food available!  Hence, I targeted Japanese food lovers and introduced the area to simple Japanese food such as Ramen, Makimono and Agemono.

How did you find Loyverse POS and why would you recommend Loyverse POS to other retailers like you?

I found Loyverse POS on google play. After a simple search, it appeared as a ‘featured suggestion’ as a small business starter and it was the best i could find, especially since “it’s free…” which suits our small business concept well. Mostly it has feature like advance POS, such as inventory, sales analyze, loyalty member (that’s my top notch), and any other with simple UI. I can say Loyverse POS is simple yet complete POS. Therefore, I would absolutely recommend this app to the local entrepreneur community.

What is the goal for your business and what are your plans to achieve this goal?

My goal is for the brand to grow into one of the major food businesses in Indonesia. I’m targeting a mall near our local area for future business expansion. To achieve that goal we have to promote our brand and product awareness parallel with improving operational management by developing tools and systems.

Do you have any advice for retailers such as yourself? -E.g. Something that you wish you had known earlier.

It was difficult for me to start a business because of the difference between working for a restaurant and owning a restaurant. Before beginning a management system, I highly recommend good, strategic planning!
