James51213 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 So I know how to do a refund in terms of what to tap, but how does the refunded amount get credited back to the customer? For example if a customer paid by card, how does their card get credited with the refunded amount?

Hello The refunded amount will be returned to the customer's card if you are using one of the integrated card payment systems (Teya, Sumup or PayPal Zettle). For more details about the refunds, please kindly contact the card payment provider company you are using with the Loyverse POS App (Teya, Sumup or PayPal Zettle). 1
bohogroove Posted March 8 Posted March 8 How do I return the customers money for items I have refunded if I am not using an integrated payment provider? If they paid by card I then give them cash? Or EFT to their account?

So, if the customer paid by card, she can receive a refund only on her card. As a workaround, you can refund a receipt, but instead of returning money to the customer's credit card, you can edit the customer's loyalty points balance by adding an appropriate amount of loyalty points, which the customer can use later for her next transactions in your store. Here you can see how to manually edit customer's loyalty points balance in the back office: Click on the customer's name Click MORE: Click EDIT POINTS BALANCE Increase current loyalty points balance of the customer (If the customer had 10.05 on the balance and the refund was made for 12 USD, instead of 10.05, please write 22.05)
bohogroove Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Thank you. But my question is whether the refund I’ve done will automatically return to the customers card? Or whether I need to physically do a refund on the actual card machine?

If you are using the Loyverse POS App with the integrated card payment system, such as YOCO, the refund will return to the customer's credit card. Please, check the details of the refunds, here: https://help.loyverse.com/help/card-payments-yoco
