La_Cour
Hello everyone, I wanted to inform the community that despite currently not being listed in the supported printer, the Epson TM-T20III (Ethernet) works perfectly on both iOS and Android. We acquired this model because the Epson TM-T20II is not being produced anymore. As the Epson TM-T20III is the newest version which obviously supports support ESC/POS protocol, the fact that it worked seamlessly makes sense. iOS Select "Epson TM-T20II (Ethernet)" in the dropdown menu. Despite being an Epson TM-T20III, Loyverse will automatically find the IP address. Android Select "Epson TM-T20II (Ethernet)" in the dropdown menu. Contrary to iOS, the IP address was not detected automatically and I had to enter it manually. It then worked perfectly. @Loyverse Maybe something to update on the list of supported hardware? I guess this would help some people given that the Epson TM-T20II is not produced anymore, and they will likely find the Epson TM-T20III available for purchase instead. JJLouw
La_Cour I see it's been more than a year now since you posted this. Are your printer still working fine? I have the same issue, I looked everywhere and can not find the TM-T20II but only the T20III Wanting to buy it but like to confirm that it's still working with other users. Agree also, if it's working they should add it ot hte list of supported printers, since the T20II are no longer avablie. I am on iOS
JJLouw
Just noticed now the TM-T20III is a USB unit - La-Cour how did you connect your unit to a iOS device ?? Edited July 2 by JJLouw
Canady
The TM-T20II is still on the market. I just bought two units. However I can’t for the life of me obtain an IP address, neither via automatic search on an ipad, nor by holding down the feed button and switching on. I got the test printed, but no IP address on it. Can someone help me please?
JJLouw
In what country did you get the TM-T20II? But never the less the III works perfect. Are your POS device and Printer on the same router? LAN for the printer and POS on that router via WiFi
JJLouw
When you turn printer off and on it prints the IP every-time.
Canady
I am using wifi for the POS on an iPad, but the printer cannot be connected to WiFi. If it can I don’t know how. It’s not even sending USB power to the iPad. I’ve turned it off and on several times and received the test print but no IP address is shown. I am new to using POS. I bought the Epson TM-T20II on Amazon.
JJLouw
What do you mean? 2 minutes ago, Canady said: It’s not even sending USB power to the iPad. The printer need to be connected via LAN cable to your router. Then your POS device WiFi to the same router. make sure you have the LAN connected from printer to Router. Don’t quote me but I think the printer need to be LAN connected in order to get an IP print when turned on. No LAN cable no IP test print.
JJLouw
Did you buy the Ethernet version? I see they also come in Serial port versions. That is why I struggled to get the Ethernet version of the TM-TII But the III works perfect via LAN
