Customer relationship management (or CRM) means gathering and analyzing information about real and potential customers to better interact with them. Using of CRM should increase sales and improve customer loyalty and business growth.

Technically, it is a collection of customers' contacts from several communication channels like a website, social media, phone, store visits, different marketing companies, etc. This data is stored in CRM software database. 

After, this data may be used for communication with the customer via phone or email, for sending special offers, clarifying some details, etc. Also, it may be used for marketing research to gain a better understanding of the company’s target audiences.

The CRM helps automate this work and provide quick access to this data. There are many different CRM software with different capabilities and complexity.
