Is it my set up or is there an issue with barcodes exporting in scientific format and losing leading zeros.

Barcode changes to scientific format on export. Leading zeros lost.

1. I have found that I have to change the barcode column's format to 'number' in excel then upload the file to google sheets before I can reimport it without issues. (Merely changing the format, resaving and importing without touching goolge sheets leads to the barcodes being imported in scientific format.)

2. Any leading zeros in barcodes are lost on export and import.

that's an excel issue. Defaulting the cells to to that format.

you can try another csv software and see if that helps
