Managing Three Businesses Made Easy with Loyverse: The Story of Wayne Daley from Jamaica
Wayne Daley, a dedicated entrepreneur from Jamaica, successfully runs three businesses - an electronics shop, a retail chemical store, and a sports bar. With years of experience in electronics and a passion for business, Wayne has come to understand the importance of organization and efficiency. His biggest challenge was managing inventory and sales manually, until he discovered Loyverse POS. Today, Loyverse plays a key role in simplifying operations and saving valuable time across all his businesses.
What type of business do you have and how did you get started?
I actually have three separate businesses where I use Loyverse: an electronics store, a bar, and a retail chemical store that sells household cleaning products.
My dad was an electronics technician for many years, and he taught me the trade. I didn’t attend formal school for it, but I took several online courses in electronics repair. In 1994, I decided to start my own business. I began by selling spare electronic parts.
Managing stock and inventory became a huge challenge because everything had to be done manually - lots of writing, checking, and rechecking. It became overwhelming. One day, I came across Loyverse POS on Facebook and decided to try it. I integrated it into my business last year, and it has made my life much easier.
As for the chemical store, it originally belonged to my landlord. When she migrated, she offered me the opportunity to take it over, and I’ve been running it for the past 20 years.

What were the main challenges that made you decide to use a POS system in your business?
The main challenge was inventory management. I have a wide range of items and several employees, so I needed a reliable way to monitor stock levels, avoid shortages, and reconcile sales with cash accurately.
I also needed a system that could process sales and print receipts for customers, eliminating the need for manual writing.
Have you added separate profiles for your employees to control access rights?
Not yet, but I plan to. I’d like to set up a system where a password is required if an employee tries to open the item list. I understand this is part of the Employee Management feature in Loyverse. I just need more time to study these options and implement them properly.
What Loyverse features do you use most in your daily routine?
I use the Back Office daily to check sales and update inventory.
The Low Stock Notification feature is extremely helpful - it notifies me whenever items are running low. It saves me from having to walk through the store and manually check everything. The system automatically shows me what needs to be restocked, which has been life-changing for me.

Do you use the customer relationship management features that Loyverse offers?
Yes, one thing I really like is the ability to create invoices for customers who haven’t collected their goods yet, or to keep open tickets for customers who buy on credit. This feature is very useful.
Loyverse has also improved my relationship with customers because the service is now much faster.
I’m considering implementing the loyalty program, but since we have a large variety of customers—some who just come and go—it’s not always practical to create profiles for everyone.
Customers also appreciate that they receive printed receipts and that we can issue refunds quickly if needed. This is a big change compared to before, when I used to record sales manually in a large ledger book. Loyverse saves me a lot of time.
Have you added all three businesses under the same Loyverse account or created separate ones?
I created separate accounts for each business since they operate independently.
Do you use the Dashboard app to check your sales analytics in real time?
No, actually, I didn’t know such an app existed! I’m very busy and haven’t had time to explore all the features, but it sounds interesting and I plan to check it out soon.
Are there any features you would like to see added or improved in Loyverse?
Loyverse already meets my needs. It helps me file taxes at the end of the year using the Sales Summary Report. This was one of my biggest challenges before - filing taxes manually used to take forever.
At the moment, I don’t feel that anything is missing. Everything I need is already there.
What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs who plan to start their own business?
My advice is to always keep track of your money and your inventory. You need a reliable system to manage sales and print receipts efficiently.
I would recommend Loyverse to any small, medium, or large business because it makes operations much easier. It’s also very simple to learn - my employees picked it up quickly. I would definitely recommend Loyverse to anyone starting a business.
