KDS on Two Screens

Hello,

I have the KDS on an Apple Ipad joined to the same network as the POS and also a TV Screen on another network with a port open so it receives the order from the POS. Both are in the same printer group. The TV Screen is connected via LAN rather than WIFI.

The problem that is occuring is the KDS are not in sync with each other. If you recall an order on one device it doesnt appear on the other and vice versa. If you mark off an order on the iPad it doesnt remove from the other and vice versa.

Unsure how they talk to each other can anyone offer any insight as to why this might not be working? I tried allowing all ports from the POS to the TV Screen and from the TV Screen to the internet but that hasnt helped

I guess it's knowing how the KDS communicate with each other and the POS ports etc

UPDATE: I have since placed all 3 on the same network and still the same behaviour. Have signed out both KDS and signed them back in. The TV runs an android OS and the other KDS runs an iPad as does the POS. Any ideas? No outgoing ports seem to be blocked. Both KDS receive the order(s) but any changes made to either KDS do not reflect on the other

I read a comment from 2023 saying this is how it works? i.e. KDS dont sync with each other

Can someone confirm if this is true? Is there any plans to change this as that's a huge downside!
