The other 5 records for R17.30 equal $1 USD and are the amounts for card verification and refund of the card verification amount to your account. To verify a card, the payment gateway charges $ 1 USD as a test. Then the transaction will be canceled and the 1$ will be returned to your account. Although you may expect a “Refund“ on your bank statement, but it will be no payment or refund. It will appear as if the whole transaction never happened. The record of the transaction will disappear, and the balance of the bank account will be restored as before that 1$ transaction. Sometimes it takes up to 7 days to cancel those test transactions.
