Help Needed: Linking Inventory for Promo Bundles and Solo Menu Items in My Café

Recommended Posts

I own a small café with a diverse menu that offers both promo bundles and solo item pricing. I need assistance in finding a way to accurately track my inventory for certain items or stocks.

For example, when a customer orders a promotional bundle that includes baked lasagna, I want the inventory to automatically adjust the same way it would if a single order of baked lasagna was placed. Currently, I’m unable to link the inventory between these two menu options, which leads to inaccurate stock tracking when different variations are ordered.

Is there a way to connect or sync the inventory for these menu items? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello!

You can use "composite items" to manage that.

First, create all your ingredients as ordinary items with track stock enabled (meat, cheese etc).

Then create a baked lasagna using the composite item feature. Add the price and components, along with the quantities used to make one baked lasagna. You can activate "production" for it, and this way, the item will have its own stock and can be produced in advance (note, that the stock of the components will reduce when you produce the item when production is enabled, not when you sell it).

After that, create the bundle item also as a composite item with Baked Lasagna as a component.

When you sell it, the stock of "Baked lasagna" will be reduced.
