Hi

New here. I am struggling to do a day end. I start everyday with 100 float. Through out the day we use the cash in the cash drawer to buy things we need, for example: we use prepaid electricity - which is an expense.

What is pay in and pay out? Do you use pay out for expenses?

Can someone please help me step by step as to how to do a day end. I don't understand the app's tutorial.

All of my day reports are wrong because I don't know where to put what.

Hello,

PayIn is a cash value that comes into your till during the shift, and Payout is a value that comes out of cash during your shift. You can add a comment when making the Payout, for example: Electricity.

You will see this information on your current shift:image.thumb.png.3b14c74f843b78a7b8c7aa4ed1064717.png

This feature is a part of the Shift management option. All the expenses (Payout), as well as Pay-ins, will be displayed in the daily shift report, from the POS and the Back Office.

However these values will only modify your Shift Management, it will not change your sales reports in the Back Office. To record the General and Administrative expenses such as labor costs or generate a balance sheet, you can use accounting software. We have integration with Quickbooks and Xero in the Marketplace.
