I have seen startup businesses make nothing for 3 years and just barely make 50k after 5 years. I have seen startups make 100K in six months and go on to make 5 million and are still going strong. The owner of the business will be working 10-12 hour days 7 days a week for what will seem like forever. Normally this will only be for a couple of years. No vacations, new car, or tech toys. If the owner-entrepreneur can hold on and still love what they started out doing then they will stand a better then 70% chance of having a viable business for as long as they want to stay in business or until they decide to sell the business. There is no magic formula for business success just a lot of work and the passion to face whatever is to come and overcome whatever obstacle they might encounter. The test of a successful business owner isn’t getting up after being knocked down but how fast he gets up after being knocked down.
