Printed receipt health issues and how can I avoid printing a receipt for those not asking for one?

Thermal receipt printers, as used in most POS systems pose a direct health hazard - https://www.mobiletransaction.org/paper-receipts-problems/

Not only that, 90% or more of our customers never ask for a receipt and our waste bins are full of them after every shift.

 

Can I avoid printing receipts by default in Loyverse POS and only print them when asked? This is becoming a major source of expensive, unnecessary, unhealthy waste and could easily be solved with a software fix.

Incidentally, I've tried switching off the thermal printer on my POS but then Loyverse won't proceed with the transaction until I've switched it on again.

u can go to the :

 

setting 

receipt 

off the PRINT RECEIPT AND BILL.

then your problem are solved.

if cust need your receipt, at the end of payment, u just click PRINT RRCEIPT.
