SarahShopZero
Hi, When items are set to be sold by weight in Loyverse, what is the default unit? We have some scales which print a variable bardcode, but when we scan in the amount on Loyverse is only a tenth of what the barcode says. For example the barcode says 0.216kg for £4.10 but when we scan the barcode Loyverse totals the item at £0.41p
Mia
Hello. There are no default units in Loyverse. If you want to sell an item by weight and you want the default unit to be KG you can put in the name of the item this unit, for example "Apple KG" and you can put the Price and Cost for 1 KG. Afterwards, if you scan a barcode with embedded weight and the weight is 0.216kg, the item will be added to the ticket with this weight and the price will be 0.216 * (Price per 1 KG). You can check these help articles: 1- How to Sell Items by Weight 2-How to Scan Barcodes with Embedded Weight
SarahShopZero
Hi Mia, I already read both of those very simplistic articles. I already have put the unit in the name of the item, per 100g. And the price is per 100g. The scales are set up per 100g and priced per 100g. For example the label printed by the scales reads 216g. £1.90 per 100g total £4.10 When we scan that in Loyverse changes it to £0.41.
youngju
If your scanner reads value in grams, you should put the value in the price field, the price/gram. So that, (The amount that will be charged) = (the amount scanned, grams) * (The price per gram) If your scanner reads value in kilograms, you should put the value in the price field, the price/kg. So that, (The amount that will be charged) = (the amount scanned, kg) * (The price per kilogram) The item name doesn't matter on the calculation, but gives you the information of the item
