Difference between reports

Hi, if I run a report by category I get a breakdown with the number of items and value.  If I run the payment type report for the same period, the financial amounts are very different.  Have I missed something ?

Reports by category and by payment type are different reports and numbers that they shows are different.
In the report by category you can see sales data is divided into item's categories. In the payment type report sales data is divided by payments, such as cash, card etc.
