  1. Beside the peaceful Khao Tao Reservoir in Hua Hin, House of Koon offers more than just wellness services - it provides a space where body, mind, and soul come together to heal. From ice baths and Reiki to sound healing and crystal therapy, House of Koon has quickly become a sanctuary for those seeking balance and renewal. At the heart of the business is the founder’s passion for crystals, expressed not only through their crystal-infused body oils but also through unique workshops and a one-of-a-kind crystal shop. With Loyverse POS as a trusted partner, House of Koon manages its growing business smoothly while focusing on what matters most: helping people reconnect with themselves and multiply good energy. Can you tell us what House of Koon is all about? My business is called House of Koon. “Koon” in Thai means “multiply,” and I chose the name to symbolize the multiplication of good energy. Here, we offer activities that support people’s well-being - healing the mind, body, and soul. Our services include ice baths, infrared sauna, sound healing, Reiki, and vibroacoustic therapy. The location is by the Khao Tao Reservoir, surrounded by mountains and just 200 meters from the beach. It’s a peaceful place where people can walk, connect with nature, and return to themselves. We also have crystal shops where we sell different types of crystals and offer crystal healing. This is one of the highlights of our business, and we are the only shop in Hua Hin with this feature. What inspired you to create a wellness space like House of Koon? It all started with my product line, which I call “koon.” I launched it in mid-2024. It’s a body oil infused with crystals, and since different crystals carry different energies, each bottle becomes like a mini pocket healer. People can use it on their wrists to reduce stress, calm anxiety, or ease panic attacks. The oil is also nourishing for the skin, as it’s made with jojoba oil and vitamin E. This product was unique and uncommon in the market, and my passion for crystals led me to expand from creating koon oils to establishing House of Koon, where people could come, feel the energy, and heal themselves. What motivated you to create your very first product, which later grew into this business? It started when I gave a crystal as a gift for a friend. A few months later, my friend told me it was amazing and had helped a lot. That feedback encouraged me to explore crystals more deeply. Eventually, I came up with the idea of blending body oil with crystals, which became the first koon product. What challenges did you face in the first year, and how did you overcome them? The biggest challenge was educating people about crystals. Many still don’t understand their power. In Thailand, when you talk about energy, people often confuse it with superstition. It took time to show them that crystal energy has a scientific basis. To do this, I relied on my website, organized workshops, and collaborated with brands and hotels to run crystal educating events. Social media also played an important role in reaching and educating interested audiences. Step by step, we built awareness among targeted groups. What guiding philosophy do you follow in managing House of Koon? At the core, our mission is to help people heal and feel good. We want to support people in becoming their best selves. When you help others, you feel good yourself - and that is the true foundation of our business. Do you have a customer story that shows the impact of your products? Yes. Recently, we asked clients to share testimonials, and one story stood out. A customer who works as a DJ, while also being a single mom and running her own restaurant, told us how stressful her life can be. She shared that during very overwhelming days, she used our koon product to lower her stress and manage her busy schedule. Stories like this show how our products are helping people every day. How did you discover Loyverse POS, and why did you choose it for your business? I used to run restaurants where I worked with another POS system. But for House of Koon, I wanted something different. I researched and found Loyverse. After testing it during the trial period, I realized it had everything I needed: daily and monthly reports, category management, and discount features. It was also very cost-effective to start with. I still want to explore other features, such as shift reports and open tickets, which I believe will benefit my business further. What is your vision for the future of House of Koon? We plan to expand and open new branches once this first location is fully established. What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs passionate about wellness? It’s important to care for the body, mind, and soul. This kind of business can truly change people’s lives. If you feel drawn to it, I believe now is the perfect time to start. Wellness is one of the fastest-growing industries today, so if you’re passionate about it, don’t hesitate—take the step and begin your own journey. Closing Note: With its unique blend of ancient healing practices and modern wellness, House of Koon continues to inspire people on their journey to balance and inner peace. Supported by Loyverse POS, the business can focus on growth and healing while trusting that its daily operations run smoothly—proving that good energy, when multiplied, reaches far beyond the walls of Hua Hin.
  2. In the heart of a bustling Thai night market, a spontaneous idea between two friends turned into a flourishing pizzeria—Giulia’s Pizza. What started as a casual conversation evolved into a small but growing business with a simple mission: serve affordable, homemade pizza to locals and tourists alike. The shop operates daily from 4 p.m. to midnight and thrives on its cozy charm and flavorful offerings. In this interview, we speak with the co-owner of Giulia’s Pizza about their journey, challenges, and how Loyverse POS plays an essential role in their daily operations. If you're dreaming of starting your own business, their story might just inspire you. What type of business do you have, and what is its background story? I wanted to travel and explore all of Asia, and I discovered that Thailand was the best destination for me. I have a friend who lives in Thailand, and one evening, while talking near a billiard table, we decided to open a pizzeria. There was an opportunity in the night market, and we said, “Why not give it a try?” We started as a small shop in the market to test the idea. If it worked, we planned to open more locations. So, we didn’t start with a detailed plan—but we also didn’t want to let the opportunity pass. We officially opened the shop on February 17. We're open every day from 4 p.m. to midnight. What was the vision that you initially had for your pizza shop? It all started with a simple conversation with my friend, who is a French baker (he has a bakery nearby), and he became my partner. I didn’t have a clear vision at the beginning, but I knew that if I wanted to live in Thailand permanently, I needed a business. This pizzeria became a way for me to build a foundation for the future. What were your biggest challenges in the early days, and how did you navigate them? The first challenge was learning how to run this kind of business, as I had no previous experience. The second challenge was hiring people, which is quite difficult in Thailand. Third, we had to create a comfortable experience for our customers, even though we were operating in a night market setting. Building strong relationships with customers is essential. We have recurring customers, tourists, and some Thai locals. Each group is different, and we strive to meet the unique needs of every customer. How did you discover Loyverse, and what made you decide to use it in your business? I chose Loyverse based on a recommendation from my partner, who had used it in his bakery and was very satisfied. We wanted something that was easy to use and easy to set up. Since we only offer a few types of dishes, we didn’t need a large or complex system. One of the most important features for us was the Loyverse Dashboard app, which allows us to track business performance directly from our phones. That sealed the deal for us. Which of Loyverse’s features has been most useful for your daily operations? The most useful feature is the ability to connect Loyverse with a printer for order tickets and receipts. I also like that we can easily manage different types of pizzas and pasta. Sometimes, we experience minor connectivity issues with the printer, but we can reconnect quickly, and the problem is resolved without hassle. Do you use inventory management for the ingredients and products you sell? No, we don’t. In this type of business, tracking every ingredient is very challenging. Our philosophy is to offer homemade pizza. We make our own dough, and most ingredients aren’t used in precise, measurable amounts for every recipe. Instead, we rely on sales reports to track what we’ve sold—whether it’s pizza, pasta, or pastries. I regularly check the shift reports, and the Dashboard app lets me quickly see how many items we've sold over a week, a month, or two months. The sales-by-item report helps us identify our best-selling items. That data helps us make sure those ingredients are always stocked. For the less popular ingredients, we can find alternatives if needed. Do you offer a loyalty program for your customers? No, our focus is on being delicious and affordable. Pizza is usually a bit pricey, so we’ve chosen to offer a lower-cost option with high quality. We let customers decide based on taste and value. There is no loyalty program or promotion because our price is the best value: Tasty and Affordable. Is there any feature you’d like to add or improve in Loyverse to better support your business? Yes, I’d like to suggest an improvement to the Dashboard app. Our shift runs from 4 p.m. to midnight or sometimes slightly past midnight. However, sales made after 00:00 are recorded as the next day in the Dashboard app, which can be confusing. I’d love the option to customize the default time range in reports, so it always reflects our actual shift hours—not just from midnight to midnight. Of course, this isn’t a major problem, since the shift report works well. I can also manually select custom times in the reports, but having a default custom time setting would be a great improvement. What are your plans for Giulia’s Pizza? Right now, our focus is on making this first location successful. If we achieve that, we plan to open more branches. When that happens, we’ll definitely expand our use of Loyverse POS and take advantage of more of its features. What advice would you give to young, aspiring entrepreneurs who want to open their own business? Keep your idea simple. Running a business with a complicated concept is hard. Find a good, simple idea—and test it. That’s exactly what I’m doing with Giulia’s Pizza. Start small and take things step by step. For example, we started with the shop, then we began using Google Ads, followed by partnering with Asia’s top delivery apps. The next step will be launching our social media presence—and likely a website too.
  3. Perfume is the key to our memories. We pick up scents in every breath we take. Read along to learn the story of Antidotes, a Boutique Perfume & Home Fragrance located in Thailand, which, with its scented candles, transports you to places with the ordinary act of taking in a breath. Can you briefly share the story of your business? The business is called Antidotes; it is a boutique perfume and home fragrance. We have been operating for around 2-3 years. I lived in Singapore before opening the business. Antidotes originated from a casual conversation between my friend and I, two office workers at a multinational corporation who shared a passion for scents. Rather than settling for ordinary brands through trial and error, we aimed to create a distinctive candle experience. We meticulously explored numerous color palettes before settling on our signature mint green and selected a custom candle wax blend with long-term health benefits in mind. We decided to start our business online only as it was straightforward. But, after a while, we decided to step forward and make it bigger. After two years, we decided we needed a physical shop. The first shop that we opened is located in Bangkok. We decided to move from Singapore to Bangkok, knowing very little about running a business. Once we opened the shop, we understood we needed something more professional to manage our business. The time that we had before opening our shop was very minimal, around a month. There were so many things we needed to take care of. The POS system was one thing we needed to think about. How did you come across Loyverse? I went to the other shops to see what kind of system they were using. Initially, I noticed the POS devices they were using; they were Sunmi devices. I went home, Googled it, and checked the Sunmi Thailand page. When I visited them in the shop to buy the hardware, they recommended Loyverse. They taught me briefly how to use the system. When we started the business, we used two systems: Loyverse POS as a point of sale and another system that could connect to my accounting system. How did Loyverse impact your business? The system helps us be worry-free about operating our business and offers more flexibility with customers and employees than other systems. The reports also help us understand how the business goes. I like the option to export reports, and it has been beneficial for me since I use it to export the sales report and forward it to my accountant. What I really liked about Loyverse is its cost-effectiveness for a starting business and the flexibility that the system provides. In what specific ways does Loyverse help you manage your inventory? When we first started, we didn’t have many items, and we still don’t have many. I think we have around 50 SKUs. But we want to track the stock to avoid any issues. We are using Advanced Inventory and Employee Management subscriptions. The employees do inventory counts to reconcile the physical inventory with the inventory that the system shows. I also use Transfer orders and Stock Adjustment features daily. We use the Inventory History report when there is some mismatch in the inventory numbers to see if we have missed something. Do you have regular customers, and have you added them to the system? Yes, we have regular customers and registered them in the systems so we can track how many sales they have done and what items they have purchased. To view the purchases of the registered customers, I use the “View purchases” option in the POS or export the receipts list and filter by customer in the exported file. What features or functionalities would you like to see added or improved in Loyverse to further enhance your retail business operations? I would like an improvement in the discounts report to show not only how many times a discount was applied, but also which items were discounted. Also, I would like to have more options regarding customers, such as classifying them into different groups, so we can identify when they visit our store who is classified for a specific discount. Would you like to share any advice or words of wisdom with aspiring entrepreneurs who are looking to start their own retail business? I recommend that all retail businesses invest in a good POS system like Loyverse to ensure that they are worry-free about daily operations. Visit Antidotes website and Instagram page.
