Can you help me configure my item on Loyverse? 

I know there's a feature called composite items, but I’m a bit confused about how to use it for my egg business.

I want to set up my items for both retail and wholesale with different prices, cost and number of stocks. For example, I sell eggs by the piece, half a tray (15 pcs), and by the tray (30 pcs). I also need to track the stock properly for these. Can someone recommend the best way to configure it efficiently?

You can use the composite feature for your egg business. In this case, you'll need to add the retail egg as an individual item and enable the 'Track stock from this item' option.

This item will serve as your main item, and the stocks for the half dozen and per tray eggs will be automatically deducted from the retail eggs whenever you make a sale in the POS app. 

To create the wholesale items (half dozen and per tray), just add the retail egg as a component of the composite items and enter the correct quantity for each.

For example:

As you can see, the cost of the item is calculated based on the cost you've set for the retail egg. You can use the same method when setting up your per tray wholesale. This way, every time you sell the wholesale or composite item on the POS, the stock will be deducted from the retail egg.
 

In case you’re wondering how to add stock for the composite items, you can do that using a paid feature called “Production” under the Advanced Inventory Management. The production feature allows you to create stock for the wholesale item using the stock from the retail item. If you need this feature, just make sure to activate 'Use production' under the composite toggle.

After creating the production, you’ll see the stock appear under your wholesale item

As you can see, the wholesale half dozen egg now has 2 stocks available for sale.
