How to Manage Tool Rentals and Repairs

I'm running a tool rental business and want to organize my inventory better, track rentals and repairs properly, manage customer info, handle late fees, and add notes to transactions in Loyverse. What should I focus on?

You should start by creating categories like 'Power Tools,' 'Hand Tools,' and so on it’ll make it much easier to manage your catalog and generate reports. 

Also, set up customer profiles with their name, contact info, and any important notes. This way, you can track who rented what and when it's due.

Regarding your open ticket inquiry, you can add notes directly to each transaction using Open Tickets  for example, writing 'Due in 3 days' or 'Needs repair,' which will also appear on the printed receipt. Open Tickets allow you to keep the rental active and update it if customers rent additional tools later. 

This is an example of what it looks like on the ticket:

If you need to add more items to a saved ticket, simply open the ticket and add the new items under the customer's tab. When adding the items, you can also include an additional description, for example, "Rented another power drill" or "Bought a new screwdriver and nails." You can add these details as a comment on the ticket, allowing you to print an updated bill for the customer. This way, they’ll clearly see how much they owe and which tools need to be returned by the due date.

For handling late fees or small repair charges, simply create service items labeled 'Late Fee' or 'Repair Charge' and manually add them during checkout. With these tools, you’ll have a much smoother workflow.
