abi_28 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 How can I allow my customers to customize their bouquet based on their flower choices? What’s the best feature in Loyverse to use? I’m a bit confused about whether I should use Variants or Modifiers. Can anyone recommend or advise on the best way to configure such an item?
Rena Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Personally, I would recommend using modifiers. With modifiers, customers can choose multiple items at the same time, making it easier to apply your item’s rules. Let me give you an example. For Bouquet A, there are three flowers included in the choices. You can also let customers select the type of occasion and the color of the bouquet’s wrapper. This way, they can easily customize the bouquet according to the event or their preferences. As you can see, I created a sample item for Bouquet A. I added three different options for the bouquet’s settings. For example, in the flower types, customers can choose three different flowers. Also, for the wrapper color, there is an additional $10 charge for a mixed-color wrapper since it requires more materials. You can also set individual prices for each type of flower based on their cost.
atik Posted March 25 Posted March 25 That sounds like a great approach! But just a heads-up—modifiers don’t track stock. If keeping track of inventory is important to you, you might want to consider using simple items and categories instead. For example, you could create separate items for each flower type and organize them into categories like "Roses," "Lilies," or "Tulips." This way, when a customer selects flowers for their bouquet, each item is deducted from stock properly. It takes a bit more effort at checkout, but it helps maintain accurate inventory tracking
abi_28 Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Oh, I see! Thanks for the insight. Luckily, I don’t need to track stock for individual flowers, so I think modifiers will work best for me. But it’s good to know about the alternative in case I ever need it!
