Restrict employees to edit the items and inventory of items

I want my employees to see the inventory but not be able to edit it. Is that possible?

Yes, I think it is possible. 

Here’s what I do with my employees, I restrict them from managing items and inventory by not giving them access to edit permissions and then, I log in to the dashboard app using my owner account. This allows them to view the items and inventory numbers without being able to manage or edit the information. Plus, they can’t be able to see the set costs of the items as well.

What I like with this dashboard app is that unlike the POS app, where there’s a shortcut to access the Back Office in the settings, while the dashboard app doesn’t have a direct option for that. 

I’ve been using this method for a few months now, and it’s been working perfectly.
