Payment Type by Item type

Hi there

It is easy to see what type of payment (card or cash) breakdown there is for your daily takings but we need to break it down by category. 

So for example, if someone buys a book, we need to know if it was cash or card.

I can't find a simple way of finding this data. The displayed fields for this reporting area are Item, SKU, Category, Items sold, Gross sales, Items refunded, Refunds, Discounts, Net sales, Cost of goods, Gross profit, Margin and Taxes. Is there a way to customise this to add payment type or another way of finding this information please..?

Further to the above, if I generate a report for receipts, it includes payment type. But if I generate a report for receipts by item, it doesn't. If the report receipts by item included payment type I would be able to get the data I need much more easily. Is this an option please?

Unfortunately, at the moment, we don't have a report for Sales by Category with a payment type breakdown. But I'll be happy to forward this as a feature suggestion to our development team.
