Hi! I’ve just started using the Loyverse KDS for my café. It’s helped a lot with order accuracy, but I’m curious how do you use it to improve your kitchen operations?

Hello!

We’ve been using the KDS for over a year now, and it’s made a big difference in how smoothly our kitchen runs. One feature I love is the ability to track prep times. It helps us identify if certain dishes are consistently taking longer and adjust our workflow.

That’s a great tip! Do you use the KDS for all orders or only specific ones, like food versus drinks?

We use it for everything, but we separate the KDS screens, one for food and another for drinks. This way, the barista and chef work independently without overlapping orders.

That’s smart! I only have one screen right now, but splitting it for food and drinks could make a big difference. Have you faced any challenges with it?

I agree! splitting the screen for food and drinks really helped us, especially during busy times. We also use the strikethrough to show when something is cooked, but at first, staff sometimes forgot to update the KDS. We fixed it by training everyone to mark items as Ready as soon as they finish them. Now everything runs smoothly, and the strikethrough works great!
