Adding barcodes from iPad

Have been successfully adding item barcodes using iPad camera in the item list. Suddenly, after adding several flavors of a brand, the iPad would beep for the barcode but then beep again, kick out to the item list and not save the barcode. ANy suggestions. Is there a possibility that the item in the inventory is corrupt? Also, it would work again on new items.

Try to search for an update for the software at the app store, it may ba the problem
