Cornwall Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Hi If I set up an item and add some variants then decide I dont want to use variants, how do I remove the variant, so it works like a normal item? When I click on edit item, there isnt a function to remove the variant? Thanks
Hanna Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Hello Cornwall! To delete variants of the item, please enter the item's settings and delete variants one by one. You can delete all the variants except the last one. If you want to delete all the variants for this item, you need to delete this item completely.

If yes, then I'm afraid you need to delete the whole item and create a new one because it is not possible to delete the last variant from the item's card. Ie. We have been selling Nacho variants: Size: Large, and Small but decided no small after our first month of sales. Now, if we remove Nacho with Variant Large, deleting it WILL or will NOT affect past reporting? We need the historical data, sales information, taxes, etc.
Hanna Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Deleting an item will not affect the sales report. Even if you change the price, update the cost, or delete the item, the past sales history will remain unchanged. This applies to all types of items in the Back office/POS app.
