DOE040
I want to add similar items, do I have to fill in the item form in back office for every single item? Can I 'copy' one or use a pre-existing item as a base?
Mag
Hi! Loyverse does not have such an option. But you can try to use the import feature. In Excel file easy to create similar items, then save as CSV and import. Please refer to the article https://help.loyverse.com/help/importing-and-exporting
Nick H
We're in the set-up phase for using Loyverse, and a major time saver would be the ability to copy an existing item (including its variants, price, cost, and picture) for those instances where we have several similar products, which all need their own entry in the POS screens (so they are not variants of each other) but are otherwise very similar. Entering the same variant information (in this case for a dozen different beer products, all served in "pint", "half" and "third" measures is a pain. And I imagine entering hundreds of clothing items all needing the same size options is equally time consuming.
Solution Margareth Posted January 21, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 21, 2020 Hi! Have you tried to use import feature. You can easily copy items information in excel file and them import it. There is help article about import https://help.loyverse.com/help/importing-and-exporting. Also, as the option, you can create modifiers and add them to every item during the sale. Here is about modifiers https://help.loyverse.com/help/how-set-and-apply-modifiers
Nick H
Thanks. I had looked at the import function but didn't realise that you could import variants. I've just done an export of my existing data and I think I can see what to do now.
