How do I enable the built-in barcode scanner on an Android handheld POS mobile terminal?

I have an Android handheld POS terminal with a built-in barcode scanner.

However, I am unable to enable the built-in barcode scanner to read product codes in Loyverse POS.

An external barcode scanner connected via Bluetooth works fine.

Is the built-in barcode scanner incompatible?

We don't have official support for the built-in barcode scanner.

But you may use the device's camera as a barcode reader.
