Can we have application of discount-by-amount to be applied for individual item just like how it is for discount-by-percentage?

It can be done by using the MODIFIERS as discounts.

In case you would like to apply an amount discount to a specific item in the ticket, as a workaround, you can use the modifiers feature as the discount. You should add the minus symbol in the PRICE field of the modifiers:

 

Then, if you would like to be able to apply this amount discount for any of the items in your items list, please activate this modifier for all the items in the items' settings.
You can activate it manually in the item's settings or through the export/import feature:


To apply an amount discount to a specific item in the ticket, please choose the discount-modifier after you add an item to the ticket:
