Is it possible to split an order between different KDS units?

Hi,

We run a cafe and some orders want both food from the kitchen and coffee from the barista. Is it possible to send the coffee part of an order to the barista and the food part of an order to the chef?

Hello!
Yes, you can connect two different printers to the kitchen and to the barista at the same time.

If you want to set up a separate kitchen printer for each kitchen station, at the back office create printer groups and assign them categories.

At Loyverse POS app, assign each printer to its own printer group.

Now, when a customer orders, two kitchen printers produce tickets with the list of items from their categories.

Hi, does this apply for KDS? As in can we have 2 KDS: 1 for coffee/barista and 1 for kitchen/chef? We are new to this, very early in transitioning from paper to POS still to get our iPads and set up Loyverse POS on them. We are aiming to get away from ticket printing for our different service areas. currently we hand-write all our orders on a triplicate order pad so the orders (different coloured sheets) can go to their specific order area.
