Sell and manage chicken by parts

I want to sell the whole chicken by parts and order the whole raw chicken from my supplier. How can I merge the stocks of the whole chicken and the per slice in my item’s settings? Is it possible?

Yes, it is possible; in this case, you first need to create an individual item for the chicken slices/parts. 

For example, chicken legs, wings, breasts, etc. Then, activate the track stock feature to monitor the part’s stock.

Then, assemble the parts of the chicken on a composite item as a whole raw chicken and add the quantity of the parts per piece.

To manage the whole item’s inventory, you will need an Advanced Inventory subscription to use the necessary features to manage the stock of whole chickens.

When you receive whole chickens from the supplier, you will have to use the purchase order feature to add the number of chickens you received.

Once 10 whole chickens are in stock, use the Disassemble feature to split them into sliced pieces.
