Coffee brew raw stocks

I’m a cafe owner looking to track my coffee bean and milk inventory. For every 12oz latte we serve, our baristas use 18 grams of beans and 240ml of milk. Is it possible to automatically monitor these raw stocks?

By using the composite feature, you can accurately track your raw ingredients.

Since you serve a 12oz coffee or latte, using the Composite items feature allows you to automatically monitor your brewed coffee and latte stock levels whenever a sale is made. To set this up, first add each raw material as an individual item and input your available stock.

How to set it up:

1. Add your raw materials as individual items.
2. Input your current stock levels.

• For solid items (e.g., coffee beans): Enter the quantity in kilograms. If you have 3 kg of coffee beans, enter '3' in the quantity field.
• For liquid items (e.g., milk): Enter the total number of cartons or boxes. If you have 5 boxes of 850ml milk, enter '5' instead of calculating the total volume (4.250)."

    3. Then after setting up the raw ingredients, you can now assemble the cup of coffee.

From the screenshot, to create a item like coffee using Oat Milk (850ml), activate the composite feature and set Oat Milk (850ml) as its component. In the quantity field, enter 0.282.

WHY: Since 240 ÷ 850 = 0.28235294, and the system only supports up to 3 decimal places, the value is rounded to 0.282.

Every time you sell 1 cup of coffee, 0.282 (or 28.2%) of an Oat Milk bottle is deducted from stock. This means selling approximately 3.55 cups of coffee uses 1 full bottle of Oat Milk.
