How do you handle promo codes / discount vouchers with Loyverse?

Hi everyone, coffee shop owner here

Been using Loyverse for about a year and really happy with it overall. The one thing I keep struggling with: **how to create unique discount codes for promotions.**

Things I've wanted to do:
- Welcome discount for first-time customers
- Birthday vouchers
- "Sorry for the wait" compensation codes

Right now our cashier just applies a manual discount, but that gets messy — hard to track, no way to prevent reuse, and we can't tell how many were actually redeemed.

Has anyone found a good workaround for this?

I've been experimenting with the API (creating customers with points as a "voucher" mechanism — it actually works surprisingly well). I wrote up my findings here if anyone's curious:
