Shyaila Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) I want to set up an item with 800ml bottle of apple juice then I will sell it by 200ml glass. How will it set it up in the POS? Should I enter 800 in bottle’s quantity? Or what should I do? Edited March 26 by Shyaila
Hanna Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Let me help you set this up. First, you need to create an item for the bottle of apple juice. In the stock settings, instead of entering 800 in the quantity field, you should enter 1, as this represents one bottle. For example, if you have 8 bottles of 800ml apple juice, you should enter 8 in the quantity field. Then, create another item called “Juice 200ml”. Activate the composite feature and add “Juice Bottle 800ml” as its component. In the quantity field, enter 0.250. Note: Since 200ml ÷ 800ml = 0.250 So every time you sell 1 glass of juice, 0.250 will be deducted from the bottle stock. This means that if you sell 4 glasses of apple juice, it will be equivalent to 1 bottle. Why is it 0.250 instead of putting 0.200 as stated in the given? The quantity was shown as 0.250 because 200ml is ¼ of 800ml bottle and ¼ of 1 bottle will be converted into 0.250. It is calculated as Given(200ml) divided by the Bottle Size (800ml) = 0.250 1
