Hi,

we will use a item for Giftcards redem.

Is it possibe to  enter a negative price maybe over api?

Example:

1 Item costs 100 EUR incl. 19% VAT so total is 100 EUR incl. VAT

now the customer use his gifcart with a amount of 50 EUR and 0% VAT

That means the Customer has to pay 50 EUR, but in this sell VAT is still the VAT of 100 EUR

1x Item  100 EUR (19%)

1x Giftcard Red - 50 EUR (0%)

=============

To Pay 50 EUR

There is no option for gift cards in Loyverse and discounts will not give you the total you are looking for at the end I believe

Maybe you can use modifiers as they accept negative values, here is an example of how it looks like

Hello,

You should be able to get it to zero, let us say the item's price is 5 and the modifier is -5 , when selling this item with the modifier, the price for it will become 0

Hi, I meant less than zero

I went through your chat with Fanny, at the moment it is not possible for items to have negative prices. Modifiers can have negative values but it is not possible to use them to make a price of an item below 0.

Hi, it would be great, if items with negative prices will work. It will solves many problems here in Germany. Maybe you can set some restrictions. If you allow negative prices only wenn stock counting is off for this item....

Hello,

we would really love to use Loyverse as our POS System for our Concert Venue, but the problem is, that we are working with deposits on our glasses and bottles, and i can@t figure out how to deduct the money for returned glasses and bottles.

Is there a chance to integrate a deposit system, otherwise we need to look for another POS.

thx

At the moment we do not have an option as items cannot have negative prices, you could try using modifiers and give them negative prices for the returned glasses

How to set up and apply Modifiers

We now have an API to connect Loyverse with different software

I recommend checking out our API club on this link

Loyverse API Club

You can check this post as well early access to API

You can have gift cards with barcodes on them. When you sell a gift card. You can create a “customer” using the gift card barcode. Then set thats customers points balance to suit the value of your gift card. When the customer next comes in, scan the gift card and redeem the value.

I created a Discount for an open amount, value to be added when used. This will work if the combined new sale is 0.00 or more. Will not work if just returning the deposit

If the Shift option is enabled, Cash Management function can be used to return deposits.

When the shift is closed these refunds will be reflected in Expected amount of cash and the Z1 report

We have the same issue. If we can make items negative for the deposites for glases, we can use the POS system. It's very nice and very suitable for our volunteers! I'd realy like to use this system but that's only possible with the refund system, and therefor with negative amount

We are offering coupons for specific products. In order to discount the price, we want to be able to create item = '$5 coupon' and price = -$5, or item = $10 coupon' and price = -$10.

Is it possible to create a product with a negative price?

Hello!

We do not have a feature that can be able to place negative price on an item. But we do have the Discount feature that you can use to be able to deduct prices of an item. With your situation, you can use the Amount Discount where it allows users to input an amount to be deducted towards the price. You can follow this guide provided from our Help Center for more information: https://help.loyverse.com/help/discounts-modifiers

Thanks for the reply @Shinji.

if we use the discount feature- how can we trigger a discount via scanning a coupon/barcode?

ie: one barcode for $50% off, another barcode for 100% off and have it only apply to a specific product- ie:

buy one get one free donut discount, but I also buy a coffee in the same trans action that doesn’t attract any discount.

thanks

I see, then unfortunately, we do not have such a specific feature that is able to do what you have mentioned. Your suggestion, however, will be forwarded to our development team. We value our customer suggestions and take them into consideration in our development plan. However, please note that the suggestions may not be always implemented fully. In any case, you can rest assured that this is heard by us loud and clear. Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks @Shinji.

hopefully the product team will see this as a worthy feature to add as an extension to the current loyalty offers. It would make Loyverse a more complete Loyalty platform and  My company could deploy it to global customers.

thanks
