Setting up Epson TM-U220 impact dot matrix POS printer

Hi guys, so I finally set up the Epson TM220 (ethernet) to work with Loyverse POS and the software recognizes it, but when I send the order to print its just weird characters. what can I do to solve this? thanks in advance

My printer connects, but it prints a garble of characters, not the order.  Has anyone had success installing this printer on Loyverse?

The problem is the Characters per Line setting. Loyverse has two options - 32 CPL and 36 CPL. The native CPL of the Epson TM-U220 is 33 / 35 CPL. With a toggle of a switch in the bank, the 220 can accommodate 35 CPL, but the dashes separating areas will always want to print 36 characters, which affects the printed paper.

Loyverse ony works with thermal printers. The Epson TM-U220 is not a thermal printer, but an Impact Dot Matrix POS printer.

Loyverse is not making tests with such a printer, so it can't guarantee its correct performance.

However, I know about some people who made it work. The right set up to use this printer is by selecting "Text" as the print mode in the advanced settings from the Loyverse POS app. Here some screenshots:

With this you will avoid the weird characters, however you could still have some problems with the receipt format.

It's always interesting to know the result you get, you can always let us know if you could make it work or not.
