  3. WISSLER is a bar and restaurant serving cold beer, tasty cocktails, and maybe the best burger in town. They are located in Spain. The owner of WISSLER, Mr.Duus, shared with us that they aim to give each customer a great time when they are visiting their bar by offering a great atmosphere and not only serving food and drinks. -Can you briefly describe the story of your business? My girlfriend and I moved to Spain about one year and a half ago. We have been working here on and off because we have been working in a traveling agency. We knew Spain very well as we have lived before for short periods of time for many many years. We had great jobs back in Denmark but we were beginning to get tired of the daily routine. We needed and wanted something else for our family and ourselves. Therefore, we sold everything we had in Denmark and came here. We found a bar and restaurant business. It is a concept bar. It is a bar but we also provide burgers and sides, simple but high-quality burgers. We focus a lot on the atmosphere and the staff. The whole experience of the bar is more important than drinks and food. -How is your business going? Two months ago we opened our second bar with the exact same concept but in a bigger city. The first one is located in a holiday city like a holiday destination on the Spanish coast. The second one, because of the pandemic, is located in a larger city. During the pandemic, it was really hard to manage a bar in an area that is destined especially for tourists. It has always been in our desire to scale the business. We plan to open 10-15 more bars in the next 5 years. For my girlfriend and I this isn’t a romantic dream of having a restaurant, we are building a business. We know a lot about hospitality and how to run a business like this but it could have been a different type of business as well. We currently have 10 full-time employees in both our restaurants. My girlfriend and I do more behind the scenes things, we deal with management and marketing and things like that. -How did you experience the pandemic year? It had been the most challenging year of my whole professional career. It has been pure survival because around 90% of the customers that were supposed to be here, were not here. We have worked with 2-3% of the human capital, which is pretty much nothing. This is why we chose to expand with a new restaurant. It looked crazy to some people that we planned to open a second restaurant in this pandemic but for us, it was to take some of the risks away. Because if you go to a big city, there are always people. Of course, there are curfews and we have to close at a certain time, but again, for the period of time the restaurant will be open, the number of customers will be higher. Currently, in the city where we have our first restaurant, there are no people so no matter how much marketing we can do, it doesn’t make any difference. -How do you advertise your business? We do a lot of online marketing. We are very heavy on Instagram and Facebook, both organic and paid and that is our primary focus. This is also our main belief to take a little bit out of the regular marketing on a holiday destination. Normally, a lot of other similar businesses have their promotional guys standing outside of the restaurant inviting people in. But, we plan to connect to the people when they are standing on the beach and planning what to eat tonight or where to go for lunch when they are checking their phones. This is why we are heavily present online. All our menu is also online. People can use a QR code for ordering. This is how we use retargeting and try to keep people connected with us and hopefully come back more than once. -What makes your business stand out from other similar businesses on the market? The atmosphere. We come from Scandinavian countries. When you go to a Scandinavian bar, restaurant, or coffee shop there are distinguishing elements. There is a big focus on the interior design, the lighting, and everything. It is different from businesses here in Spain. We try to take the best from the Scandinavian traditions. Most of all, I think our key advantage is our staff. We do a lot of training for our staff. We work a lot with hospitality so not only to offer a great service but doing excellent hospitality. It means that everyone who walks through our door should be treated as a guest in our home. -How did you first learn about Loyverse? I googled around and I found different reviews in a bunch of systems. I have worked with a lot of systems throughout my professional career. At the time, it was important for me to find a simple system. Because there are a lot of big systems out there but for a startup like us it would become very complicated and heavy. This is why my focus was to find a simple system, even though that would mean that it would miss some features it was worth the sacrifice. In addition, Loyverse has the functionality to manage multiple locations which is very important to us. -What features of Loyverse do you find most useful for your business? I like the simplicity. I think this is the number 1 feature. We just got new people on board in the new office and they found the app really easy to learn. The app is intuitive. I really like the Kitchen Display System. We have tablets with the KDS in both the kitchen and the bar and I think KDS works really well and it is very helpful. -What would you like to see in Loyverse in the future? I would like to have more reports. I would like to have a report for the time that is needed to prepare and serve the order. We are not a fast-food restaurant but we do sell burgers and this time shouldn’t be too long and I would like to be able to keep track of it. That can be an interesting metric for us to work with. Another point is that our shift ends after midnight. We would like to define the period of time the system must calculate as a working day. For example, I would like to have a specific setting in the Back office where I can indicate that the day must be calculated from 03:00 AM to 2:59 AM the next morning. Also, happy hour is a feature that is needed for our type of business. -What message would you give to young people who want to start a business? I think the most important thing is: Just do it. There are a lot of people out there with good ideas, but only the people who really take action and test or do what they planned to succeed. If you ask in the restaurant field, my strongest advice would be to track expenses. We use the Loyverse add-on: Advanced Inventory and for us, it is extremely important. We count everything, we check prices every time we get deliveries so we always know that we are making money off what we sell. I think this is very important in restaurants, bars and coffee shops. People usually don’t know if they are making money or not. They are usually focused on the food and the experience, and that is very important of course, but it is also important to track the expenses and make sure you are having profit. This is why I love Loyverse because it does the tracking of expenses that I need. If you get all the data in the system, it is pretty simple to keep track and eliminate mistakes. I would like to say to the Loyverse team to keep up with the good work and keep developing even more.

Puede ver el resumen de todas las ventas de todos los dispositivos en el informe de resumen de ventas en el Back office. Si desea tener todas las ventas en un cierre de caja en el dispositivo TPV principal, debe cargar todos los tickets desde este dispositivo.Los empleados que están usando el dispositivo móvil pueden usar los tickets abiertos para tomar los pedidos de los clientes. Bazaar&Co has several branches. We met with Mr. Huang, who runs one of them. How did you start this business? I was born and raised in Argentina. I am grateful for this fact. I believe this is an opportunity and I should benefit from it. Argentina is a developing country. After World War II, it was badly affected. Here we have the opportunity to start doing what other countries have been doing for a long time. I like the idea of contributing to the development of technology and business in my country. Learning from other countries, such as the United States, Europe, China and Taiwan, they are highly developed and have very fierce competition in the business world. At the same time, in Argentina, there is a lot of space to try to bring new things that were previously unknown. I started working with Bazzar & Company in 2017. My friend and I were invited to participate in its event. At first, our goal was to earn a living, not to face the difficulties that most people in Argentina face. Here, most people make a little money and find it difficult to meet what can be classified as basic needs. Over time, my friends and I understand that there is a mentality: work only satisfied the basic needs of life, it was not enough to start a business. What we need is to add value. Currently, our main objective is to make it easier for customers to find a product. For example, Amazon offers all the products someone might need to provide from a single platform. We want something similar, but incorporating with the Argentine culture, establish more physical stores, because in our country it is not yet popular to work with the Internet. Our customers like to walk around and touch the products they want to buy. Our goal is "To provide customers with shopping convenience", this is our motto. How did your company face the year of the pandemic? We spent a lot of money last year because our country was in the second stage during the pandemic. Most of the companies were closed. However, we explore other opportunities, such as trading behind closed doors. We take advantage of this period to learn new things, among which is the Loyverse POS system. We started subscribing to Loyverse in 2020. How did you find Loyverse? When we started our business, we worked with a manual labeler, which we used to generate price tags for the products. We understand that this process is time consuming. That is why we began to look for a new way to facilitate our work. We need a point of sale, so I started doing research on the Internet. The first one to show up in the research results is Loyverse. What attracts me the most is that Loyverse is a European software, but it works globally. We are from Taiwanese who were born in Argentina. What struck me is that the Loyverse supports the Chinese language, which gives me more opportunities to understand and handle it. Are you using the free or paid version of Loyverse? We are using the paid version. We subscribed to Advanced Inventory and Employee Management. Since it provides the complete service and also because it is a satisfactory price that you can accept as a beginner in entrepreneurship. Which feature of Loyverse will be marked as most useful for your business? Generally speaking, all the features of Loyverse suit me and benefit my work. First of all, it is possible to add items, manage their prices, manage inventory, and you can manage employee access permission functions in a very simple way. The challenge for me is that for some specific operations, like adding an item with variants or composite items, I need to go to the Back office. It will be more convenient if I can do it directly from the app. In my opinion, the advantage of Loyverse is that it gives you the ability to manage your store from a simple mobile device. I can control and work without being in my premises, but it would be ideal if I could choose to perform more operations from the Loyverse POS application without going to the Back office. For a company, this will be a true innovation. This will also distinguish the Loyverse POS application from all other POS software. I really like the options that Employee Management offers to restrict employee access. I have used this feature so they can only use POS and I can make sure my employees cannot access my confidential information. I must emphasize that we are still new to using Loyverse and are not yet familiar with all the features. However, we are learning step by step. It takes some time to use it 100%. What do you think needs to be improved in Loyverse? I'd like to make suggestions on label printing for items. I think the display of labels is limited. The price range is small and most of our customers, who are elderly, have difficulty reading them. I would like this function to be more customizable, which means that we can add a design or other elements. I like this feature because it is so simple, you only need to click one, but I just hope it gives you a chance to customize it. What message do you want to convey to the Loyverse team? Do not forget the main entrepreneurial spirit of Loyverse. Although it has developed a lot now, always maintaining humility, It is an international service, you have to have a broad look and mind to lead in this area. Due to the fact that customers trust your business, you need to develop and build more trust to inspire more clients like us. It is good to build relationships with customers and develop further together. We reviewed your Instagram page and noticed that many companies have shared their experience with Loyverse, this gives us much more confidence to use Loyverse in our business. My message is to remember and not forget why it started.
  9. Hello. You can use the barcode scanner while using the Back office to scan and add items to each of the documents in the Advanced Inventory section. You need to use an external barcode scanner connected to the PC, tablet or mobile device where you have opened the Back office. Please, note you cannot use the built-in camera of the mobile device/tablet with Loyverse POS app. The barcode scanner must be connected in "virtual keyboard" mode. You can refer to the manual of the barcode scanner to learn how to configure the barcode scanner so that it is connected in the right mode. If you are using iOS device with the Loyverse POS app and the scanner that you are using is Socket mobile, this scanner works in a special mode in POS app to scan items during the sale (Application Mode (MFi-SPP), but to use it in Back office, it needs to switch to Basic Mode (HID) (default). Hello Jimmy, The meaning of the order number is as follows: #0215-01-02 The codes in number of order is: 0215 is monthDAY (Feb 15); 01 is the POS number; 02 is the order number; and order number every day start from 01. Do you close the business after midnight? At the moment, this is how the order number is generated. However, I would be happy to send your suggestion to our development team as a feature suggestion. We value our customer suggestions and take them into consideration in our development plan. However, please note that the suggestions may not be always implemented fully.

Egle Rääsk, the founder of BLUERAY, shares with us the history of this special entrepreneurship and their experience with the Loyverse POS app. When did the journey of BLUERAY start? We started in 2017. We are a University of Tartu spin-off company, and we offer VR solutions for others, and we do our own developments as well. Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur? I was studying Entrepreneurship and Technology Management (MBA) in University. I had to write a paper for a business idea with all the detailed steps for one of the courses. We had this VR idea and I thought if I already had everything written and done so many calculations why not try it for real. I run BLUERAY together with my husband. How do you advertise your business? We have a website and we use social media as well: Facebook and Instagram. Regarding our own development, we have 2 recording time holes that are located where the action takes place. We use brochures as well. What is unique about BLUERAY that makes it stand out from other competitors? The unique thing is that, as we are a University of Tartu spin-off company,we value the learning a lot and everything that we do is based on the knowledge that we ourselves have acquired and the knowledge of our scientist as well. We don’t know any other company in Estonia or in neighboring countries that is offering VR solutions in the same way that we are doing. When we came out with our first time hole in 2019, we started searching for an easy and free solution as a point of sale. I found Loyverse searching on the web. What attracted you about Loyverse that you decided it was the right solution for your business? I liked the idea that it is very simple and clear to use. Other systems got complicated very soon. Since our business is quite different from other shops, cafes, or other usual businesses, Loyverse suited us very well. Can you describe the workflow of your business and how is Loyverse incorporated? My employees use the system at the time hole to sell tickets for the time travels. We also sell souvenirs apart from other services that we offer. I use the Back Office more to see how the day has gone, to check how many visitors we had, how many souvenirs are sold, how many are left, and so on. What feature of Loyverse would you point out as most useful for your type of business? The main thing I use is the statistics to compare the sales per day and per employee. I can evaluate in this way if the sales are increasing or decreasing and investigate if this is happening because of an employee, is one of them working more than the other, or is it related to a working day. What would you like to see in Loyverse in the future? Maybe, to be integrated with more card payment systems in Estonia. What is the goal that you want to achieve with Blueray? We want to move with our apps online and also outside of Estonia. At the moment, we are operating only inside the country. We sell our services to tourists that come to Estonia, but the next step would be to “sell” Estonia abroad. The Toila-Oru palace in 3D Was your business affected by the COVID? Yes, since we are offering our services outside, we were closed several times. The situation is still not the best for us since the number of tourists is small because many borders are still closed, and it is not very convenient to travel. We are like a local attraction, or a museum and tourists are our main customers. What message would you like to young entrepreneurs? If they have an idea, then they definitely need to try it. I recently heard a businesswoman, and she said it very nicely, like “When I no longer cope, someone else can come and continue.” Basically, you don’t have to think that if you fail, it is fatal or something like that. You need just to try your best, and sometimes the idea is ahead of the market and will fly/flourish with followers. And that`s OK. Then, you can try a new thing, and in the end, you have still changed the world with your thoughts and doings. One thing is sure, if you only think about your ideas, nothing will happen. You have to be prepared to learn lots and lots of things. We ourselves are an organization that is based on learning. The idea is that you can make mistakes, and it is fine, but you learn from it and the next time, you don’t make the same mistake. You can make a new one, but you learn with every new mistake that you make, and you have to be ready for that. You must be able to take it all in because everything is constantly changing. El significado del número de pedido es el siguiente: # 0810-02-01 -0810 es el mes y el DÍA (10 de agosto); -02 es el número de POS; -01 es el número de pedido; y el número de pedido todos los días comienza desde 01.
  14. Hello. When you add an item to the ticket, there is the option to add comments to this item. You can use this option to add the time and date this item was added to the ticket, so your customer can see it in the final printed receipt.   15. Hello, Thanks for being patient. We have investigated this issue. You created an item in your account with the name "Conj 0M Verde Fuccia Osito Happy Girl" 2021-05-23 17:21:18 UTC. This item was listed in order PO1012. Then this item was deleted 2021-05-26 18:42 UTC. Later 2021-05-26 18:44 an item with the same name and REF 194133788000 was created. These products are different for the program. And the new item was no longer listed in PO1012. Therefore, the history of this new product does not indicate changes due to PO1012.
